Thesis offer: Neutrinos and other probes of new physics.

The present data from neutrino oscillation experiments confirming that neutrinos are massive particles and their mixing with charged leptons, together with the observation of the mysterious dark matter and dark energy components of the Universe remain, to date, our only experimental evidence for new physics.

The phenomenology of these windows for new physics will be studied in the thesis project. The emphasis will be in neutrino physics. Part of the project will involve the study and optimization of the measurement of the remaining unknown parameters at future neutrino facilities. Different theoretical implications of the existence of neutrino masses, such as the generation of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe or its impact in flavour physics will also be explored. Finally, the interplay between neutrinos and particle physics in general with cosmology through dark matter and dark energy phenomenology can also be part of the project.

This project is funded through a EU Marie Curie grant. For more information please contact Prof. Enrique Fernandez Martinez at enfmarti [at] cern [dot] ch
